Hi guys, thanks for watching. I was concerned about the sheets of the characters being displayed too quickly but I wasn't sure if people would care too much and about the music; Its personal taste but do u guys have a suggestion for a more fitting music? And yes I did create those assets and programmed those games.
Well, sorry I haven't gotten on in a while, but the game has made some big jumps over the past month or so and I happen to have some pics of what is going on. This site isn't much to brag about. I just quickly made it up to show you the pics thus far. http://home.comcast.net/~uberkirscht3hl33t/Pictures.html
A good rule to remember is that each bounce loses roughly the same amount of energy, so let's say the second bounce is two thirds as high as the initial bounce. Then the next bounce that succeeds this will follow the same pattern of 1/3 energy loss. You seem to be breaking that rule in the later stages of your bounce and…
I should edit that tutorial I wrote and just say use Xnormal instead :) I struggled through with Maya for a few years but once i started working to tight freelance deadlines I quickly switched to Xnormal. Baking out large AO maps in Maya took me forever, and in my experience the quality of the bake was mediocre at best
Try mixing parts of photos of metal (go out with a camera and find interesting surfaces, take high-res photos if you can). Just add them as a new layer and change the blending mode to quickly vary the surface. Using Photoshop filters and tools by themselves without lots of heavy manual painting is never going to result in…
Right, Here I just wanted to quickly get "maximum roundness" and to see how well that 6 sided cube can deal with the rounded "sculpture". I asked previously about smoothing groups and in that project (ZBrush was not yet involved), it turned out that they are indeed very useful in some places, but overall I try to keep them…
Unless I think of something new or find anything glaring I'm gonna call the texture done. I forgot how tedious and time consuming rigging can be, especially when you haven't done it in forever, but hopefully I can get the submission shots done quickly tomorrow along with another pose of her and the ferret together. :)
If you're using Z3.5, try messing with the new surface noise stuff and a bit of masking/layers/morph brushing. You can get some very naturalistic surfaces very quickly with it. You'll need to play around with the noise curve a bit to get chunkier, chipped surfaces, but it doesn't take much tweaking to get something good…
Congrats! Stoo's plaid shirts have sleeves... Any proud grunger would have quickly ripped them off and covered them with their long greasy locks. Also Keen was sportin' the flannel at the Seattle meet up if I remember correctly? Probably so he would blend in and not get mugged. Redmond is a rough place =P Ahh flannel...
my bits of advice.... - get your name known by lending a hand whenever you can, this makes friends quickly with both teachers and fellow students - get involved, which it sounds like you're already looking into (the clubs and such) - have fun Sounds mindlessly generic, but never forget you're going there to better yourself…
