Thanks I been waiting for someone to make a top down sketch, a final note I used the sculpt geometry tool a few times as this is a organic hard surface to get my smoothness at optimal level.
A bit of a sketch over on one of my thumbnails. To me it has a look of an insect, such as a locust or grass hopper and more importantly it doesn't look like its from a Games Workshop setting. Feedback and crits welcomed.

Well... to find a good base shape, you have to work as small as possible. Personally, I start my sketches on an 1/1 inch screenspace, then I zoom on it to gradually refine the shape and add details.
well i'm finishing up week 1's diary at the moment. trying to make it less rambly and more informative... that's a learning process in itself heh. oh, and lots of terribad sketches from me :P
There's already a lot of sets being made for puck, but I felt all of them focused on the fairy part, and not the dragon part of the character so I made a quick sketch. I call it, the "Fairly dragon" set.
