derpin on some wood sculpts for my Artstation Challenge (wip polycount thread). will probably do a quick demo for how I did them in my next vlog. these will be 3d trims, and the texture layout should work as a tiling texture as well for the most part. -

Oh i guess i will have to make an account on there then and do as you said, and side question, from those images do you model right from them or make like a layout of it to make it easier to model? And of course the penis tank will have to be made. -

If you like making art then keep going, you shouldn't need us to tell you that :P Looks like you're doing a good job so far, but it's usually a better idea to do a rough layout of everything first and then work up the details. -

whoop, seems like i've forgotten how the damn UI works again. guess i won't be using this one anytime soon. back to max... QWERTY. it might not be the best keyboard layout, but it damn well works fine. don't reinvent the wheel and all that. -

Your gonna fall down if you use default settings, those seams will have mip-mapping problems when you get them into a game engine and its gonna be hell to fix it. A good layout is gold mate, GOOOOLLLD... aint that right MOP? -

removed the link, it was an artificial benchmark test (48 to 48 000 sided circle) to prove the adversary effect of thin triangles on performance NOT suggesting to use certain layouts for "caps" of low poly, with so little geometry at hands interpolation artifacts are much more dominant... -

Since I already have a rough UV layout (which will change once I start doing a bit more work on the model) I spent a little while and roughed in colors and spec to see if things will work out as I've intended. Whatcha think? -

Depending on the layout of your place, I'd suggest starting with an overly polite anonymous letter in their mailbox. Give them that one opportunity to be the reasonable, understanding neighbor. If that fails, you can do whatever you like to them and not feel like the proverbial cunt. :D -
Need Help With 3ds Max
Hey PC i ran into a issue with Max, I accidentally hit export mode and when i got out of it had different navigation icons which in turn is screwing up my navigation in the scene. Below is the pic on the new icons I have up. I tried revert start up layout and nothing happens.
