Damn dude, 3d fractals as textures? that's one way to quickly get to the next gen look. Since this is pretty much done already I'll just chime in that your Damage Amp (purple thing) is WAY too big. That would basically be bigger than a player if he stood next to it. So I would just scale that sucker down.
Cheers for the feedback DWalker. The stairs where just quickly placed in zbrush in front of the pillar for the screenshot. Your right about the gaps in the pillars I will tone those down before detailing them cheers. I decided to stray away from the concept a little with the griffin as the concept is quite small so used…
This is the issue you run into when using dynamesh. What you could try to do is use qremesher to quickly remesh whatever it is that you're working on, then reproject your details. Something else to keep in mind when working on characters that end up being posed is to establish a pose in the beginning stages of production,…
super cool, spawning things along splines that you can quickly edit is an insane time saver. the roads in watchdogs 2 used a similar setup where all the sidewalk props, decals, walls etc were spawned along the spline using ranges, so if the road moved, everything updated cleanly. a great example of working smarter not…
UHM. I think you can do it both ways. you can put the turn around in zbrush and quickly block out the form. It is diffidently way easier to sculpt it out first if you don't have a turn around which is one the reasons i did it this way. Thanks! Thanks for the feed back i will apply that! :D
This car doesn't look too old, possibly early to mid 90s. It looks like it was burned, note the charring around the rusted areas and the paint on the front is still pretty clean. It also looks like the back bumper may have melted off. The car likely would not have rusted as quickly had the paint not been burned off.
I'm learning Python atm, and it seems to be very easy to learn and quite powerful. Many (most 3D?) apps allow for scripting in Python. I started to learn CG for shaders but quickly realized that to really grasp what was being taught I would need to first brush up on my math skills, which I'm also currently studying.
You spend 2 years on your character and journey to find a noob who wants to duel you. The duel starts You quickly find out he's the top player of the game as he puts on his legendary armor. You can't quit because you think you can take him, you in vision the glory. What do?
Thanks for all the input, I've had a go at pretty much overhauling the topology for a better flow (thx ZacD) and also to minimize the longer rectangles. Managed to get a good basic sculpt out of it quite quickly too Any more comments etc welcome, I'll continue posting progress with portfolio work etc here and in the latest…
@mr_ace, thanks a lot. I def agree with you on all you pointed out. I do realize looking at it again that those are important changes, I'll adjust those fixes in the near future. Im still kinda weak on my lighting but I know I can improve quickly. Thanks again for your guys' inputs!
