^ That's painting on the UV's, I think Uncle is talking about the real-time stranded projection ontop of the mesh in the scene that the tree's, cat and wizards had. -

Step back a bit and realize that these are just announcement trailers, like with the monk and wizard. They're not going to replace the old style cinematics with this stuff. -

He means that modeling packages are just tools and should be treated as such, one is not better than another - plugins and addons don't suddenly make you a wizard at modeling.
