It's been a while since the last time I've updated this topic about my League of Legends fan art. I've defined the characters proportions and não I'm working on some hard surfaces inside zBrush. =)
Ok not sure if it helps, but I've added a video with the initial setup for a face. Unfortunately the screenrecorder crashed on session two, so there is only a screenshot demonstarting the mixing of parts wich are only defined by edge loops and subpatches
Thank you Ben! Yeah, you should definately try it. It's a really fast workflow. :) I made a quick test with a new lighting setup. Please let me know if I made it worse or better. ^^
Its looking good, the only thing I don't like is her nose, right now she has a nose like a little mice or something like that, she needs a better defined nose for the profile.
While PSO2 is definately tons of fun, it really is a game with a different focus. The bosses in it are a lot easier then the ones in Monster Hunter. I really do hope that MH4 comes out over here in the states though.
Did work making the shoulder area more defined and made a marmoset scene to light the sculpt while I work on the rest. Will be at the polycount meet at GDC tomorrow, if you see me come say hi!
Awesome pieces so far! The bake for the dragon axe weapon came out great! Materials are nicely defined. Axe may be a little too noisy but I think it works overall though. Nice job!
do you have a blockout of the environment\lightning test ? i would definately recomend that before starting to detail props ;) You might be doing stuff on the wrong scale with wrong proportions before blocking in stuff.
A little more progress today; worked the face a little more to match the sculpture better, gave her a much more realistic ear and started defining the individual toes of the feet - and learned that such a thing is a painful process.
I really like what you have so far, and I like the colors, but the textures feel fuzzy and muddy. Sharper and more defined shapes in the texture will really make those textures really pop.
