All nighters? At a certain point in college shouldn't one have figured out how to regulate their bodily functions in hectic times without horrible repercussions? It's training more so than anything. I can go for 30 hours and still be cool if I have to. (I never really had to because I am one who usually plans ahead) One…
If you're not making a game with it, there's nothing to risk... although I think everybody should at least learn the basics of UE4. Takes one button click for me to export my assets to Cryengine 3, and they instantly update in-engine. Setting up a new asset with the correct material group and a new cryexport node literally…
PS2 Devil May Cry 3 Metal Gear Solid 3 (just be warned lengthy cinematics, but it gets good, real good) Ico Gradius 5 Oxnary has already mentioned Katamari. As for the X-Box: Burnout revenge Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction (So Much fun though kinda short you may wanna rent it) Mercenaries Oddworld: Strangers Wrath…
This: & everything he said: Though I eat bread every day, almost. Starting on PiTA breads now and trying to quit It all together but their goes sandwiches. Also stopping cheese, so no more of my favorite Philly cheese steaks, damn it! :( 6 meals a day the size of your fist and you'll be skinny in no time, eat to nourish…
think about it. if valve can get a couple hundred thousand people to pay 20-30 as an investment and in return get a 50$ game (+ potentially more back depending on how the game sells) I think that's pretty damn awesome. nothing said fans had to front ALL the money and if this gives them the resources to make it the best…
Haha! This is the last forum post I was going to check before I log off for 2 weeks and travel. Things have been SUPER busy this week for us. I'm travelling, Emil is snowboarding somewhere, and the other guys are investigating some updates to the site that are in the pipe. Emil and I do the recaps so, unfortunately, this…
Hah! Small world Sukotto! I was checking your portfolio out and saw you worked at reactor zero? We're practically neighbors(I work at a game studio about 30/40 minutes from R-zero) and I work with a few programmers who used to work there as well. Anyway enough of my rambling. I just wanted to say best of luck and I hope…
Haven't been showing my book any love lately. Here's a character I created for a 2 week challenge. Theme was sci-fi military. I really only got a good 25-30 hours into it including re-topo and texturing but I finished on time. I'm pretty much done with this for now but I'd appreciate any feedback anyone has to offer.…
What I usually do is duplicate the AO layer a few times, then starting from the top level colour it (CTRL+U, colorize option) the AO layers orange, pink and brown. Then set them to multiply, 30% opacity. I find this hue gradient of the AO map (instead of just the single colour multiplied by darkness that you'd usually get)…
Im totally interested! Ive made some miniatures before, but used ultracal-30 for the mold and 2prt rubber for the casting material. I then had to paint the rubber with autobody paint, as a primer before i painted any final color texture onto it. With abs its pretty much the same I think ya? are you priming it before you…
