I like the barrier best by far. I would paint slightly brighter highlights to pick out the edges on all of these, and more dirt, and on some of them dark single pixel shodows to pick out the shapes.
no dont rescale stuff in dreamweaver that´s what people did back 10 years or more ago. Better use the crop tool in photoshop and let the thumbnail have excatly the pixel size as they should be in the end.
What filter settings do you use? I've tried a lot of different settings and I can't get a clean RTT bake for the life of me, it always comes out grainy and pixelated along the edges?
most sprites are ripped by switching off layers. grabbing the tiles is a nightmare, as you're just diving into hex of 8x8 pixel blocks and have to cycle the palette around until it looks decent (which it never does)
cave story would have a fairly intensive work process wouldnt it? its all hand placed pixels edit: obviously i mean tiled gfx, but it seems like hard work to create to me
I used it extensively as a member of the Pixel Corps, but it's been a while since I did something in it. I remember it being amazing to work in. Very intuitive and robust. Put it together with Endorphin and it's a total killer combo.
I've created my first two characters for a game project I decided to create this year. For my vision, I want to use 2D and 3D art to create a unique experience. I want to combine pixel or sprite art with 3D spaces. Any feedback is most welcome! This is my first attempt at creating concept art for game characters.…
the 0-1 space is relative to your texture. atm you are using 2 UVspaces. 0-1 and 1-2 if yyour UVs are squashed by 50% like poopipe described, just make your texture 200% wide and a pixel is square again.
Hi there ! Here's a few news from the project. I've brought on some upgrade to existing levels =) First of all, Geonosis : Probably the most boring level (well, there is no vegetation, it's all full of sand, it lacks of life...) in short, I had to improve it ! And as last summer I had quickly put a little piece of concept…
Hi guys, Simple post really, looking for someone who can recreate a great 80's arcade pixel art aesthetic, but using a 3D voxel style. Job is paid, contract negotiable. Here is essentially what I'm looking for.
