Apartment looks really nice. I would say the zbrush table is probably the weaker of the lot. The sculpt loos kind of "mooshy" in places. I think it could be more successful if the details were more sharply defined. Keep up the good work!
@JonConley: Why is the blue paint on the normal map? @tehrobster2: The second shield looks a bit squished. Also I don't really see a reason why there should be such deep gashes on the back side of the shield especially where the wearer's arm would normally be.
I'm gonna come out and say it: Lighting seems like one of the weaker parts of UE4 right now. No current area light implementation No specular highlights on translucent surfaces No lighting contribution from emissive materials? No IES input for gobo/volumetrics ...? Definitely room for improvement
This does suck, and yes the better ones remain and the weaker ones are the first ones to go. So I am sure that no polycounters will be affected:) Even so, I have my fingers crossed for you all. Spark P.S: PM me with those good portfolios if needed
Hello people :) Awesome work in here O___________O Been playing DS2 again and some oldschool soul reaver on my ps1, so going for a Mini diorama piece. Here is some blockout, color mood, and 1/2 pieces I started refining.
Loving it Brett, he looks like a proper nasty piece of work. Is this the same geo as the guy in the first shot? Somehow I prefer the earlier geo if its changed. This one seems like the top lip is more dominant, and thus feels weaker somehow?
Interesting as I use QTTBar at work and Clover at home. For me Clover has crashed once I think, but QTTBar seems a bit weaker. I set up some favourites on top and it "forgot" them after couple restarts. Maybe it was just me or I messed it up.
I'm with the others here, I think individually your stuff is weaker than it would be if you had a completed environment, but you already know that :P A lot of your props could actually be propagated (lol) into one environment. You obviously have the engine knowledge to make that happen.
again you cant really say an absolute of what a kid should or should not be playing. i played Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver when i was 12, which some people consider too young to be playing a game like that.. and i turned out alright (i think)
i like the suit design a lot, keeps with the look of the original. i like the sharp points, makes the wearer seem liek a "hunter", something to be reckoned with. i do agree with darth though, the face looks like Sloth's, maybe a less sea sick look would be good.:)
