Many methods, one of them is using the snakehook brush. There's a hairstyling video in Pixologic's zclassroom under 3d brushes. Another method is making an IMM brush with multiple ryu-style hair spikes. Fibermesh could work but I think you'll just end up with random hair growth.
I hadn't heard about that until just now. As one of the original beta testers of Sculptris, and a big proponent of the app before the Pixologic buyout, I'm really glad to see its technology finally get revived like this (even if it's just a mode in ZBrush now). :) But yea, not a good day for Autodesk.
Having looked around a little longer there seems to be quite a few other people that have the same problem, looks like this is just a bug in ZBrush 4, I remember doing this no problem when i was using 3.1, might have to go back to 3.1 for now until pixologic does something :|
Zbrushcentral is a great place to stay at the top in which refers to zbrush to other 3d apps. The guys at pixologic are working very hard to make our lives easier, and you know guys, this can´t be paid with money Also, there are a lot of excelent zscripters right there. Good times for 3d artists Cheers
Yeah I've never used zmapper again since I discovered Xnormal, have some not so great memories of it really. I wish pixologic would release that polycruncher type zbrush plugin they promised a month ago, would make baking very high poly models alot easier.
Did Pixologic change the image plane from previous ZBrush versions? I found it pretty useful and started using it extensively until the 4R4 upgrade. It went from this: To this: What happened to Shift H and V? Even if you go to the Light Palette's "background" menu, the options for shifting H and V are not there. In fact,…
Pixologic has packed 41 new videos into ZClassroom Happy Friday! You don't need to worry about planning your weekend. Go, get your learnin' on, come back and amaze us with what you can do! Even if you're a "ZVetran" you still might pick up a few nuggets from the "Get your feet wet" videos.
by the way, projection in zbrush 3.5 is admittedly botched, but fortunately there's a decent workaround by setting the PA blur to a multiple of 8. so if you just set PA blur to 8 instead of 10, that should stop the artifacts that appear from what would otherwise turn out as a solid projection. that is the only solution…
many thanks for the replies. I will change it when I have time again. @ Jackablade I use Sculptris 1.02 (it got bought from pixologic in this year) you can easily reduce the detail where you don´t need it and add where you have to have it. my second program is Blender (it is for Teturing,Rigging and other stuff)
I would suggest starting a bit smaller, it looks to me like this is your first time using Zbrush. There are tons of free online tutorials on Pixologic's site (Zbrush Classroom), I would suggest checking those out. Your anatomy is inaccurate, and your forms are very "blobby". Maybe starting out with a bust would be a little…
