This is the base mesh, I think that the trench coat need more volume, and I decide to sculpt it, I find MD very nice for pants, shirt and vest, but the trench coat i can make a better shape in zbrush. I still don't know if make him with hair or not. Time to start the real Sculpt :)
As said, wasn't totally happy with the anatomy so I decided to make some changes and start over the fabrics in Marvelous Designer. This is how it's looking so far. Just came out from MD. Of course, I'll add some thickness to the clothes ^^ Her bust was reduced and also the overall dimensions/proportions Cheers!
A while ago I was working on an actual male character to give my folio a reason to exist and not just being pictures of pretty girls and then I saw the discount on Marvelous Designer and I thought why not so I picked one of my anatomy exercises and turned it into this face is actually a bit of a likeness attempt to a…
I think you are trusting marvelous designer to do too much for you. It is a good program, but has some faults that I think are expressed in your work. First is the jeans. Jeans crumple with sharp edges, but your jeans are soft and pillowy, because MD has a hard time simulating the stuff denim. Beyond that, jeans are going…
Hey guys, so I'm trying to model some clothes for a character i'm doing. I kind know how to use MD but I don't know how to find patterns and stuff. How do y'all pros use it? Like, you learn the basic patterns and then you change it for the character you're sculpting? And If so, where could I find some patterns? Thanks!
Hi, I've created some shelf buttons for the planar uv commands but they don't seem to be doing anything once the button gets added to the shelf (or typed into the script editor). This for example is the exact code of the planar Y hotkey but it doesn't appear to be doing anything. polyProjection -ch 1 -type Planar -ibd on…
Adding thickness on a low poly/retopo mesh in the 3D app is indeed trivial - but I'd like to have it in the sculpt/MD output in a clean way only for the necessary parts (with proper subdiv levels). Something I have not solved for myself to satisfaction yet - it's been an annoying fudge so far (manually deleting unseen…
HAHAHAHAHH thank you detritus this is now officially the most entertaining thread ive read in a good while Cheers to Ramucho for linking this in #md Please, please, please prove all of us wrong, i would love to see it, I beg of you btw how much will the radio video tutorial cost to purchase on DVD?
The readme is in a .md format...what the heck is that? Ok, so got it to sync layerset masks, which is great. This works based upon the LayerSet name correct? Sync Selected brings up a list of the current layersets...but if they've got the same name, how do you differentiate them as the user? The Create Material does…
What you did so far really looks cool but I have to point the fact that the sweatter even tho looks cool it's not right . In the concept is a bit fluffy and has 2 layers . And yours feel thin like cotton . When you use MD try to play with the fabric presets to get the right material quality
