I think.... the feeling's mutual. I need to rethink my life! Got me on a nostalgia kick but almost every site that had Garage Rats stuff has disappeared... except for the guestbook! everyone is free to make posts accusing me of being gay, a nazi or some sort of gay nazi.
what Jacque said. Doesn't matter how you end up with the tattoo. Except when you photo-source it, be careful with copyright / personal rights. People may object when you put personal things like their faces or tattoos in your game, so you have to change it to a degree.
Finished building the modular pieces (except the floor) and assembled it in engine. I had a few lightmap errors but I think I managed to mostly fix them. (lighting is extremely WIP and will definitely be changed, mostly just for testing purposes atm) without the props: Next job is to start on the brick substance.
Ok, so it's still very early days, but I've been getting on with the POD facility: Still a lot of blockout elements to replace and all materials are simple starting points or placeholders. The external terrain here is entirely placeholder: Oh, and here's the almost complete base helmet except for no materials/textures of…
Jup, I'm going to hop on that today, I didn't give it much love except the base in ddo. Today I'm going to throw it into substance painter and give it some leaking copper oxidation, not too much but enough to make the stone look like it has been sitting in the metal for quite a while. :)
Some exceptional texturing work there. Those tiling woods are truly awesome. Curious how much of this is actually being accomplished in Substance. Are they sculpting in Zbrush and baked to a normal, which Substance is using cavity and AO info from to generate detail? Haven't messed with Substance much yet, but these are…
definitely more impressive! Just a random idea, Its not necessary at all its looking great, but as an experiment you could try guiding the players eye more with the use of light eg tone down all the lights brightness a bit except for a few that are in areas you want people to focus on more?
I would have to agree with combining the Airbus, The hard surface work on it is exceptional but so is the final result. I think showing the process as a whole on one page would be a benefit. Also wanted to say I love your hero weapon, went in to my reference folder as soon as I saw it!
This is My second shot that I wanted to end with because it shows the spec a lot better than the other screenshot except for the floor for some reason? and the detail of the door I figure if I take the lighting advice and apply it to this shot it will also get that wow factor! what do you all think?
About that quadsphere ... correct me if I'm wrong but I think this is mostly the solution to get a perfect sphere from a cage (since a box doesn't subdivide as a perfect sphere - except if spherified as Ryno said) That does no mean that a such a topology is good for sculpting ; as a matter of fact it will create many…
