I think you'll need a ceiling. It's vRay suppose to be easier then, say, Mental Ray, yet I read alot of problems getting it to work out of the box. Mental Ray has so many hidden things, powerful, yes, but it's like finding a treasure with many things, then figuring out the puzzle within the treasure. -

970 is faster and nvidia generally has better drivers. There are very few situations where you'll need more than 3.5GB of vram, let alone 8GB. When the day comes that common games require up to 8GB of vram, both of these cards will be consider old and slow. -

Good point. It's funny because just yesterday I was converting a very heavy scene asset with 45 different materials to a VrayProxy. It took hours just to attach all the different objects to a single mesh for the process. Each click of the attach button would hang the computer for about 10 mins!! Task manager had my 32gigs… -

I should have been clearer here, they're blank as in invisible.
