ZBrush wants its textures flipped vertically for some reason. After you Clone Texture you can go into the Texture menu at the top of the screen and click the Flip V button to quickly flip it the right way round. Likewise if you import a texture and need to flip it upside down to apply it to a model inside ZBrush.
Some obvious stuff but maybe it'll help. Dunno what kind of engine you're working with, but some decent decals can cover a ton of ground really quickly. Start with the biggest objects you'll be repeating the most. Get some good lighting and skybox in, most bang for your buck with a time constraint Good luck man.
Google, man! You'll find the answers more quickly, and they'll be more thorough. Forums can be a lifesaver, but it is certainly the slowest way to get an answer. Questions like : "what is x?" = google. Questions like : "i've tried face weighting my normals but on export I have some strange results. What to do?" = forum
As the old area in the older screen shots was mostly for testing purposes, I quickly put together a forest which could be appropriate for a level. I re-did most of the materials in the scene for the vegetation, replaced the ground textures, and drastically adjusted the lighting for the scene. EDIT: Forgot to remove the…

Remember, those contrast ratios are maximums, when you adjust the screen (I've read an article that said you don't want more than 200cd/m² brightness) that quickly goes down. Plus there's a lot of color adjustment necessary to get decent color reproduction (and I think most models don't offer that but it's possible on…
Sure. I already ran the turntable renders and am now thinking I should have went lighter. Should I run another render for my project, or just adjust some levels in AE or Premiere? I can re-render another still pretty quickly or maybe just adjust the the Photoshop file.
I fully disagree. :) Fear of failure will hold you back in life. If you're afraid to fail, you won't take risks, and you won't move ahead in your career as quickly as you should. She took a chance and I applaud that. Whether it works or doesn't work, she still learns something from the experience.
That's cool, Pior. SO you were able to remesh and then work off of that to push back out some of the definition you lost. As soon as I get done with a couple things, I am definitely going to have to give this a try. Even if you didn't want to use the diffuse, to get a basemesh that quickly is pretty awesome!
My problem with Lightbox is definitely the speed. Whenever I see it, I just middle click images in Firefox to get around it. It makes for a nice looking presentation but its functionality is a little slow (much like Flash). It may only be a second or two, but when you want to look at a lot of images quickly it gets in the…
