Can you elaborate on that? All you have to do is follow the steps of importing in-game, after the game has compiled your model for you, it will then give you a preview and allow you to see it in a test map too. You only submit the item once you're happy with how it looks in the laodout and in-game.
The particles in Iclone are really useful and fast because its realtime. I use them by making a "smoke" render pass. Making the background color black. I also change the items in the scene to black. The renders will be composited as screen/add mode over the rgb render pass. It adds that extra depth to the scene.
That is fantastic work. I love all the details of the pieces in one item, especially the joints. It's the little things that sale the look. I think so far my favorite is the hiefram because of all the small pieces that make up the look, like the bolts and wire mesh on the front. Can't wait to see more.
Ha I was looking at this on Amazon last night and wondering when it was going to be released as Amazon just had "this item has not shipped yet" as a release date. Since it seems like a few of them are getting it I pre-ordered mine and it says sometime between Nov 30 and Dec 8. Cant wait! :)
Yea, you probably have a thread in pimping and previews, but I saw it here. Change or obscure that name on the container. Unless you got permission from Hanjinn for having in game. I had to make fake names/icons for items in our RC Car game. (Still love Belly Buster Burgers)
You can upload both and valve can just make it a style item, gold and green styles. Either that or valve will just take one of them in game. You have nothing to lose by uploading both styles. In my opinion, go for the gold. (it breaks the OD-like pallete you have on the blade)
you might want to start a new project using the FPS template and copy your content into that template or back up your current project then delete all the copy and pasted items and then re add it properly by adding the template into your project you can find tutorials on how to do this the right way.
Yeah, I wish Epic was at a point with Unreal Tournament where they could so Steam Workshop type item sales like with TF2/Dota. Maybe allow concept artists to submit work, approve concepts for the initial release, allow 3d artist to model them, and they both get a cut of future sales.
I swear Halo 3 was an MMO. "Fuzzt... Chief you need to run to point A and retrieve an item, when you have it, return to point B.Then go to point A again for the hell of it, and then back to B, oh then to A again... after doing this 40 times we'll give you a mount I mean warthog"
Very soild man. Liking the work so far. Might suggest adding some things that make it feel more personal. Items that would be useful on the underside of the ship, like repair tools and such. Notice how in this picture the tank has all that extra gear stuffed in the back. Keep up the good work :)
