It has pass some time since my last update, I was moving from Paris to Mexico, but now I'm back to the game (I lose some weeks, but I think I can finish my entry) so here's some update on the texture. It still need some tweaks, but its on the way ^^
Updated my texel density toolkit to v1.1; http://forums.luxology.com/topic.aspx?f=83&t=77203 Updated my vertex normal toolkit to v1.8; http://forums.luxology.com/topic.aspx?f=83&t=77919 Major overhaul to v2.0 will come with 701 SP2, once the Python API supports the stuff I need.
Sorry guys, I havn't been posting any updates. I have been super busy. I just finished uvs on all the models and the stump has just been placed into Zbrush. Just updating you all where I am at so you don't think I abandoned the project :)
Thanks DKK I really appreciate it man! That render is just ZBrush with a clay matcap :) Long delay since the last update because of the Riot contest. But here's an update, working on all the texture maps now. Would appreciate any feedback as far as material definition goes. And in the mean time I'll be working on the posing
Scene I'm working on, stil working out how im going to do the roof. Also wanna bring it into zbrush and try some carving on the basin and pillars, though I've never really used zbrush before. Feedback and advice much appreciated. update with wireframe and roof and another update this time with a bridge and torches
ah great that's all i needed to know i updated the script so that last error won't popup either. Max must be cleaning up some stuff behind my back in some versions. you can download the updated script on the site. Teessider: this also fixes your problem tnx guys
No I didn't but I found the concept from google. Do you know the artist who made it, I have been trying to find it so I can credit them accordingly. EDIT: I updated the credits and will be updating the demo reel credit once its done rendering. Thanks for pointing it out :)
This is a common problem that occurred for many people after the update. If it ever happens again with a future update, you need to start a new game, then quit back to the main menu and just select the "Load Game" option and you'll get your file back. Also... Channel Display Shader Update! ----V1.04---- Added the ability to display UV channels on a mesh. Cell Shader Update! ----V1.04---- Added the ability to multiply vertex colors over base color map value. To use raw vertex colors for your mesh, disable the albedo input map, or use a white albedo map.
I'm sure there is a way to get rid of it, or there will be. I use 2011 updated about maybe a month ago, at first I thought okay well it is updated but it just doesn't feel the same, i'm used to it now and it hasn't gotten in the way of anything for me yet, but hopefully theres a way to bring it back to the 2010 way it was…
