WellI don't know in other 3d app you have sugestions? I only have 3dsmax as 3rd app ... But Still I woudl like to know the problem I pointed in my previous post and how to fix it ..
I have another idea :P based on the welder script for 3dsMax. is there a way to create a curve where objects intersect? even possibly a way to do the welder script in maya? Or just create a cut where objects intersect
So... we'd have to take certification tests based on our art skill? Or just based on our knowlege of a program. Testing someone on their knowlege of 3dsmax is one thing... but testing someone on their artistic ability seems a bit tough.
It really depends more on the version of 3dsmax you're using. 2008-09 have some really great improvements for handling really high numbers of polys, well. pre-08-09 well you're taking your chances...
3dsmax? Not natively, shaderFX has a few realtime viewport blending options that work. There might be other shaders you can download and test out that do the same thing. ShaderFX is free and easy to use, worth looking at anyway.
Thanks for your comment! :)@I'm glad you like it @blackdragonstory After a long day doing the albedo this is the first render in Marmoset, i think i can improve somethings! Another render in 3dsMax... Feedback is always welcome!
well, we put in a new vid card today and still no joy As a last resort I reinstalled max and then it worked. Its really odd though as I had this same problem using 3dsmax 9 trial version.
Hi guys! im new here! nice forum  Im creating grass aswell lol, And now i need to get the normals up. but i have no idea how to do this in 3dsmax :poly141: Any help??
If it was in 3dsmax I would you down the stack and attach the phantom gizmo to the mesh. If there are no polys relating to the gizmo, I presume it would just disappear. Sounds as though you are using maya though, so not sure if this would work
thanks for the reply guys, I bake using 3dsmax "bake to texture" and load up in both max and unity with proper setups, they all have seams. using max 2015 @Revel : shouldn't the bake correcting the direction/ orientation when baking?
