Thanks a lor for the input laperen, thats what I love about PC :) What you said about 3D art is just what happened to me. All the fancy materials shaders and post-processinf effects look so delicious at first, but in the end they did not make my "crappy" art look better, thats why I am heading back to the basics. I noticed…
And here' s another update. I cleaned the lineart and I also added some background suggestions. And also, trying to establish the atmosphere by adding bullets in the foreground. I think I will start a black and white sketch now, trying to concentrate on the lightning and values.
U can work on it in ur spare time. Right now, it can still be used for animations. The fact is it speeds up doing lineart. There is huge potential of this being added to the toolsets of a lot of artists and animators. If u decide to scrap it, it would be a waste imho.
Cool! I'm pretty sure it has something to do with linear VS. non-linear interpretation of the colors - gamma correction. http://udn.epicgames.com/Three/TextureProperties.html#SRGB http://udn.epicgames.com/Three/GammaCorrection.html
Here are some silhouettes of a character I'm designing to create a high quality portfolio, so I can apply for a position as a Game Artist in the industry. Final design is coming. Please critique my work, so I can improve. Rough silhouettes of Demon Sorceror(WIP) Clean lineart of character
The pink one looks better IMO. You need to speed it up and make the animation less linear also cause right now you really feel the "linear animation on a spline".
Sorry if this is common, but why is it not possible to undo a "linear" UV spline, once you use linear it wont undo that task but just jump straight to any other task commited before?
0.04 is the linear space value. Don't know about the diffuse one. I think it's safe to assume that it's pre-gamma-correction, since generally PBR works/looks best in a linear color space.
Sketchbook: Sickerman Here's some of my recent work, most of those still need some work. Comments are encouraged. Here's a Zombie Deadpool Here's a bunch of raccoons I drew from reference, I like raccoon. Just a girl running away ^^ Girl Lineart... still need some coloring
Be shure that you load your metallic and roughnes textures with linear gamma. Turn of sRGB on every Metallic/Roughness texture in UE4 and set texture sampler type for that textures as Linear Color Hope it's help
