Yeah, the small red Dota icon right ? It works fine to test the loadout on the actual ingame character within the map, but it does not display portraits properly ... The portrait window shows unrigged/duplicated models for instance. Maybe it's just an issue on my machine ?
Did some rendering tests in the background while I worked. Long long way to go but much better than the first portrait I did of my wife, which was what set me out wanting to be good at portraits and rendering in the first place.
There was an old photo reference thread going on here a while back. In it, somebody posted a link to BW portraits of native americans, all well lit and officially dressed. The gallery also had other BW portraits (busts and full bodies) of american "aristocrats" from the i-dont-know-what century. anyone?
one hour photoref portraits boobs paints/speedpaints without ref I painted the patrick for fun, it was posted on a dutch forum that had gta advertising on the sides ^^ self portrait
@Shock, also you can try making the head in portrait view.. make sure it reads and looks good there.. since 90% of the time if not more.. people will see his face just in portrait.
I love it. I really cant pick a pose, but i'll prefer 1st image poses and 2nd's portrait. cuz the portrait in 1st image looks exactly same as the pose. Good luck
I've been working on portraits and likeness in Zbrush and I wanted to show my progress and get some healthy critique on how it is and how I can improve. For practice I did a 3d portrait of 50 cent. these are the images I used for reference.
Day 3 A project for a computer graphics class, a self portrait. Used photo ref, about 1 hour. And I thought hey, If I'm going to draw a badass portrait of myself then it's gonna be fucking badass. Going to Prauge for a few days and can't post, keep up the good work guys!
Yikes it's painfully obvious how freakishly lobsided my jaw is without a beard to hide it or skin colour distract from it lol, but a self portrait is a self portrait. I've been doing some skin pore work on it, it was fun making a stubble alpha but I'm still abit dubious about it's effectiveness.
