I'd say that no :) . It's the more exploited though. It's not the most complicated branch of 3d for now. The work for a game character can be done in days/weeks compared to some models for cinematics. You can't compare, the workflows are totally different. Yes anatomy is essential in character art folios. I think for someone starting out, having JUST an anatomy study is both good and bad. I think it's better to go down a few subdivision levels and not to get too caught up in defining every muscle fibre. Form and proportions can go a long way to suggest the structure underneath. What you are doing right now is medical rather than artistic representation of anatomy so he ends up looking like a strange blow up… -
