As with other posters, the hexes are a little overdone on this dude- Feng worked on some stargate ride stuff for MGM and I think this must be from that. Have you considered baking the hexes into the normal as well, so they work ore like little plates with edges? Cool stuff! ~P~

thanks for sharing, Michael! (I'm in need of a hex 'rivet' stamp...the kind you see in CAT and other types of work boots used for shoelace holes. So it'd be nice to create the slight pucker around the leather, then the metal hex-nut and a hole/depression where the shoelace goes. That is, if yer taking requests! :P )
yeah basically. There is only one piece of the gun that has 8-10 sided hex, whereas all the other tubes are completely cylindrical. Maybe changing some of the smooth tubes into hex tubes would add some repeated design and some more visual interest. Only a suggestion, even still the gun looks awesome as is :P
