My advice is to go there and not have a scripted idea of the questions you want to ask. Go with the flow of the conversation and try to act naturally. If you come to a 2nd interview thin king of what to ask and what to not ask you might come off as stiff or even strange. Dont get me wrong, asking questions is a good…
The proportions on your girl are way off. Even in the concept they look wrong and so that transferred to your model. Her head looks too large and her legs look too short. Once you fix those, you will probably have to adjust other areas such as the torso and arms to get it to look just right. As for the car, I'm not expert…
My argument is not that this doesn't happen, it's not that this way of life isn't true. The part that pisses me off is the people who see this as a good thing, who want to do it more. They want to take it to the point of no return and farther, to the point where everything and anything we do is influence by a greedy…
Hold down ctrl on the seams you make to remove them. To start, turn off map and pelt seams so that every edge you click is the only one visible. Also you may want to check the box for thin seam display as the thick seams get in the way if you have alot of edges close together. It depends on how you want to texture this…
"It'd be cool if videogame companies hired artists who don't constantly beat off while designing female characters." This is the only comment that pissed me off along with the wall of text after that. It's like the internet got together and got all the male-whiteknights and the feminists together in a stampede to eradicate…
You really need to look at the face, it looks like you are sculpting what you think looks feminine not what reference is telling you to sculpt. Take a good look at how the face is constructed, what muscles connect where and how the skull effects the outline etc. Here's a quick and dirty paintover to get you off in a better…
HEY! Fancy seeing you here haha. Ummm from what I gather its not a super big issue as you can ignore rays bouncing off backfaces in the AO bakes. The Normal maps also wont have an issue which make sense as well as whatever is floating above will override whatever is underneath. I'm sure there is a way to turn off shadow's…
Sorry, I know this is a little off topic, but if somebody has same question for maya this might help. Not a special extrude tool, just have entire object selected and extrude. Ctrl+E is default hotkey. Can also select all faces and same thing. If you grab a single face and extrude is does not automatically cap off the…
I'd say don't worry about it. Sometimes that happens in the office, kind of a way to pressure someone to work harder or faster. I want to say I've heard it when I was in a previous job, and stayed for a long time lol. It was odd for me on one of my recent ones. I was laid off not too long ago, and it was during a time when…
That sounds like the sort of thing that would be best off being procedurally generated (probably using something like Substance Designer). And, honestly, you'd be better off putting all of these separate threads in one thread. You're basically asking how to do each individual step of modelling a planet in a separate thread…
