I just bake everything in Modo these days - the cage is simply defined as a morph map for the mesh. Wrote some push tools for pushing the cage out nicely to keep it square.
F'ing love the gesture in those hands man and everything else is looking awesome. Glad you went with #2 definately less repetative to look at. Looking forward to seeing this progress.
Cool ! You made 2 lil mistakes thoverts = for v = 1 to mObj.numverts collect getvert mObj v * sorttmqsort vertorder comparePoint3_Z valArray:verts Also Point01 isn't defined.
the grip looks a bit cloudy, and i think you need to work on defining your materials a bit better. check out this tutorial: http://www.nextgenhardsurface.com/index.php?pageid=racer445
Yea definately congrats to everyone... it is really inspiring to see all the work from everyone and though it'll be awhile till the next one, hopefully I can hop on that one
I personlly don't think there is enough defination between parts on the skin, it looks a little muddy from grey area to grey area and not as tight as it could be. other then that, fantastic work
I'm definately more jazzed for it after seeing the conference footage, somehow I had missed that the nunchucka would have a motion sensor too. Dual wield. Oh yeah.
I was really looking forward to seeing this film, hadn't even realised it had hit cinemas already, I'm sure it hasn't in EU yet but definately need to see it sometime.
Shit son, thats all I have to say. You've definately got to get some normal and spec mappage on that. Get it in unreal or something, it'd look so sexeh.
my 2 cents: notes, top to bottom, say: "hard edged shadows for direct lights" "soft for ambient" "softer edge and shading for the side here to better define the form"
