Calling the sculpt done, with the exception of the sail/wing cloth thing. finishing that and proceeding to bakes tomorrow  @AllyAlbon - Thanks a bunch! Really liking the feel of your scene so far too! interested to see how the witchy theme will turn out!
[ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zVIY0ymLlI"]Hardwell_Park.mp4 - YouTube[/ame] Level I did for 2013 - Infected Wars. Optimized for A4 apple products. All work done by me, except for a few civilian vehicles. Will post some breakdowns soon.
I love it, except for the trailing bits. They're a too prominent for my taste, compared with the relatively small flash of the explosion itself. I love the smoke, though it might be a tad dark, at least compared with my idea of what color smoke should be. :)
Only thing I can think of is that both the back face and front face are using the same texture space, except that the backface is mirrored? Wont be able to tell much unless we can see your UV layout of the wall and the normal texture.
The next iteration of my design. I am liking the new shoulders very much, but am still looking for a middle ground between the two designs. The chest to ab area is cleaner and makes more sense, except for the clavicle area now x.x
Good way to force me into doing sports. Just sad that it's really boring if you don't live in the middle of the city, There's freaking nothing in my suburb except weedle and pidgey. I have a huge field and a forest, other things should spawn :(
LRoy: thanks brotha! Chronicle: Yes, it's PBR. I used Marmoset which is a PBR engine so the names of the maps are somewhat irrelevant. Metalness(also called metallicity) is basically specular except you can't use color and gloss is the same as roughness.
usually that is true, but there are exceptions. for example high quality hard surface objects like cars. if you make a mistake early on it might cost you days if not weeks of work. so better put some extra steps in preparing your base and references.
You will very likely need a degree now. There's a few exceptions but the loopholes are being closed rapidly. I think the work experience equivalency to a degree is 12 years. This isn't a matter of a company willing you to get in. This is a government issue with immigration and border control.
Thanks Tmammela, that's kind of my understanding too (as described as the "engine output" part above)... with the exception of things like skyboxes (which are unlit) and FX (which are also, often, unlit and/or additive and stacked). Do you happen to have a link to that UEforum thread?
