Playing and finishing Demon's souls would remove the thought of Dark Souls being unfinished, Since nothing really was changed in Dark Souls from Demons Souls except for exploration. In both games your thrown out in the world to suffer learning the ropes on your own
Are you making a high poly sculpt or a low poly asset? If low poly, turn off "Smooth Mesh Preview." That isn't going to end up in a game (except for like the new CoD engine). You making Normal Maps? Specular? Hand-painted Diffuse?
With a few exceptions of painters like Bosch and Bruegel you can safely just skip to the 19th century and not miss much. Pre 19th century can be summed up as portrait of some dude, portrait of some chick, landscape, greek god, and Jesus x 5000.
Super solid work, going right into the inspiration folder. If I had to complain (and it's being nit-picky) I'd say everything is pretty monotone, with the exception of the second to last bust. That could just be the art of the game, but that's what stands out to me. Great artwork though!
okay now I see the AO with that GI shader but the normal map with specular won't appear. Man this is frustrating. I wish I could write and understand these .fx files. StandardFX is perfect except it is too low res and the mirror seam in the normal map is visible.
tbh there's 2 ways i'd take a base mesh into ZBrush. This way, except I'd probably ditch the facial geometry and just keep some for the nose and ears, i find the rest limits my flow in how i work. It has an even spread of quads.
I was friends with this Mexican dude who worked in a local restaurant. He could barely speak English, but we were sitting out on a bench during break and he asked, "are all Americans bad people?" Of course I replied with, "Yes, yes they are. Except for me."
yeah freeeanch wtf!!??!!! whateeever, I'm a douche bag so I guess I shouldn't reply, not that I have anything constructive to say anyway, oh yeah except that old fat white guys like Wilford Brimley and Kenny Rodegers for the win b1ll!!!
You can also "set priority" to "below normal", this gives you pretty much the same result, except that if you go make a sandwich or something it will use all the power it can. I only limit cores when setting priority still results in slowness.
Dude pretty much everyone on this site is better than me, racer445 is two years younger and trumps me easily, I can do nothing about that except focus forward and improve and my own rate. A professional is an amateur who never gave up.
