I'm a fan of I Am Legend, the book, as well. The alternate ending might imply some of the point of the book better (especially one shot) - but the whole film still doesn't follow the book as closely as it should [we're talking plot elements and characters being removed, etc.] -

I grew up with a family that liked racing, nitz. My uncle was a speed freak that way. I grew to liking the show, since he watched it all the time. Yeah, there's not a lot of plot to it, but it's something that brings back childhood memories. I'd see it for nostalgic purposes alone. -

Whatever, he can't lose. It's real life hot-blooded mecha-anime plot formula. Fresh idealistic newbie vs the morally ambiguous veteran with the bumbling second in command. Someone close to the newbie dies right near the climax, causing him to power-up and win. -

Outcast was awesome. Jedi Academy didn't have much of a plot but at least the levels had some variety to them (on a speeder bike like a racing game, shooting stormtroopers, lightsabre battle against Dark Jedi, etc.) Not as repetitive and I still liked it better than Force unleashed tho.
