Some Raytracing elements are only supported by Arnold since Arnold nativly supports OSL. Most of the OSL maps works with other renderes, some has tracing calls which developers must support.
whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? haha oh come on... arnold super drunk punching a camel brought great happyness to me when i first saw that movie. Only arnold can get away with cruelty to animals back in those days.
arnold does not have a toon shader.. but one is in development... https://arnold-rendering.com/2017/11/02/toon-shader-test/ you could try to work with the facing ratio... https://support.solidangle.com/display/A5AFMUG/Toon+Shading+with+the+Facing+Ratio+shader
Here's a VOX guitar amp that I've been working on for work. It's been done for Arnold, so here's an Arnold render and some screenshot from 3DO. I loved doing it!!! EDIT: sorry, can't manage to insert an image, so they are attached to the post.
That's an awesome fix but I was looking to learn how to utilize Arnold's shading network. In particular, the OSL's in order to texture my assets although I've found that Physical material tends to be the best shader as it is universal from Vray. Arnold and Corona.
so this is my first arnold render :) .. not looking what i want though , ill check some tuts on arnold then do it again . also i changed his legs and neck anatomy . how is it now ? any other suggestions ?
Thank you Justo! I will be rendering in Maya using Arnold, apparently arnold doesnt like multimaterials very much? But I guess the only way to work around that is to solve those problems when they appear haha XD Thanks for the advice! super helpful
Hello Creators i am new to character modeling this is my first 3dmodel created in Autodesk Maya,Xgen and Arnold, your critiques will help me improve thank you
I'm working on lighting for a mobile game. During testing, I found that I could not bake Arnold lighting in Max 2018 out of the box. I could bake Arnold directly in Maya 2017. Ultimately, we decided to go with VRay in Maya 2017.
