No workaround needed. Just move your subtool using the silver ring whilst in 2.5D move mode to retain your object's orientation. -

Is this the low poly? And I think I really liked the silver and white design that you had before rather than the brown leather. Just felt very elegant. -

yes i will redo the silver detail. I need to brush up on my zbrush first. I will redo the hard edges as well, or remove the extra detail edges.
