Still working on this! I Finally found some time to rework/fix the highpoly, lowpoly and bake everything. It's 8470 triangles, 2048 normal/ao in 3pointshader. Any feedback is appreciated so i can do better next time!
I think the van in the background is hurting the image more than helping. most everything hides its lowpoly look besides the vehicles. This has a nice feel to it, really well done. small corrections here and there, but overall really nice.
@DenO Great small details there ! My jaws' on the floor in awe. I'm way behind schedule if I am to finish this in this month >_<" I fixed the legs and gave her more details. I am going to start on the lowpoly now.
This thread helped me a lot for understanding topology: http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?54710-quot-The-runner-quot-WIP If you are looking for a very lowpoly topology I recommend you this website, have a look at the models and tutorials: http://www.poopinmymouth.com
love it n30g3n3s1s , looks very like farcry, very impressive , the normal map is simply spectacular , im amazed could you show us some wires of the lowpoly , maybe the normal and blablabla ? would be cool to look at `em congratulations !!!!
Either add more geometry around those problem areas to make the smoothing in the lowpoly less harsh and obvious, or try setting smoothing groups up so that those smoothing issues go away. Then re-bake the normal map.
Its really a shame that the arch on this door is so low poly, for the amount of detail in the sculpt and texture, and even in some places on the lowpoly you really should add some more geometry to that arch so its not so noticeably faceted.
Hehe, cool stuff. Did some lowpoly stuff in school last week, a tip is to render out an occlusion-map for the model, probably won't turn out great, but I found it to be a nice place to start when doing shadows.
Looking very nice ! I agree that the tile/scale-like pattern on her legs is not very suited for lowpoly and gives away the angles of the geometry, but I assume that was in the concept already. But that's just a small nitpick. Brilliant work like always .
Labyrinth> Great to hear that you are still working on this! I imported my students Lowpoly assignments and showed them on the DS. There's a nice wow factor to actually having your own art spinning on a real console ;) Keep it up, thanks!
