Hmm. I see. I did think that the geo itself was going to be a contributing factor. That last example I posted were of the teeth and the edges aren’t exactly straight for it. The whole silhouette is ‘wavy’. Sooo… are you saying straightened UVs should primarily be used if patterns/details are needed in the texture…? But… -

It's fairly easy to make a node in SD to convert Spec/Gloss to Metalness/Rough.. but it won't be fully automated, though. Basically mash your metal parts from the specular texture via mask onto the basecolor texture, and said mask will be your metalness texture. Invert the gloss map for roughness. Looks good. I don't know the tools in Blender, I'm afraid. For the ear, the middle part of the antihelix seems to protrude more in the photos, and the valley below it on the rear lobe is less deep and more a return to the level of the helix if that makes sense. -
