I don't have so as much time at the moment to actually add and modify stuff, however got some small breaks while working and can check if pages needs editing. Do we have some kind of tag to use on the page to quickly mark it for editing/updating?
Looking quickly at your concept, I've noticed an issue with your windows. Presently, your windows are flat with the wall surface. Look carefully are the concept, you will notice that they are recessed into the wall. I'm not sure how closely you are looking to follow the concept, but your proportional relationships are all…
this ^ It's just a weird concept. If I can't visualize the concept art as a 3d environment then I lose interest in it pretty quickly. This concept doesn't really work as a 3d environment if you ask me. However that's just my opinion, maybe someone will be able to turn this into a beautiful 3d scene :)
I know what you mean... It was my intention to use agentH from the same rigger, but I soon discovered I could not stretch it... same situation as yours Still, i found another rig quickly enough, and I'm sure you will too. keep it up!
Bart: Thanks, glad you liked it, I took a look at you model in the WAYWO thread, looks really solid you have surpassed me on the texturing. Just a small model update, I'm not aiming for complete accuracy for this since I plan to complete it fairly quickly(believe it or not) ;)
Ok I was messing with it more cause I need it working quickly. It was the exposure for some reason. I switched logarithmic exposure and now it renders what it should. This whole thing is very interesting because as I remember, I used the photographic exposure for lightmap rendering on the previous machine.
Hey Snickerwicket! The dwarf rig I made that you liked is indeed created in 3DS Max using the CAT system plus a few extra little meshes thrown in. Its a great way to quickly throw an idea together and start working without having to worry about a model.
Just some quick shots on progress. As well a video that quickly shows a Master Material that I made for this project. [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kedzTeuDFRg"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kedzTeuDFRg[/ame] Some more shots of assets in Painter. (edit)- Adding the video correctly
Hey Emil, not the answer you're looking for but I'd suggest you use Xnormal instead. I spent ages trying to get decent AO bakes from Maya. You can get a consistantly good one from Xnormal very easily and quickly, so give it a try.
Yeah...never collapse that Turbosmooth modifier. If you have to for some reason, save another file. In many cases, the base mesh, or a lower iteration of your Turbosmoothed mesh, can quickly become a usable low poly mesh, so it's not usually the type of thing you want to lose.
