I don't have access to post a paint over on your geo, but your problems are stemming from some bad edge loops and triangles >:| Grrrrr HAHA Yes, found it. This is a good breakdown by Perna of how to quad your triangles. Doing this where the edge meet the flat surface on the top of the blade would allow you to get rid of…
My holidays are over soon as my last semester begins. I didn't really get far with this project during this holiday of mine. Partly because of taking time off to learn Zbrush and also to take time off work in general to actually relax and not be sitting behind my laptop. I still do plan to finish this project off. Will…
I think that's less "sexist" and more superficial assmunch, sef ;) <3 I'm on the eastside near TGZ, living in Microsoftville (Redmond) for about 2 years now. If you're looking for less stress and relaxation, eastside is great. Most everything you need is <10 min drive away here, so it's a nice area. Redmond itself is…
I did a super quick paintover (not 100% accurate), hope you dont mind :) I think the main thing for me is the pose needs balancing and some of the muscles transitions need a bit more love, like the delts/biceps and foream/upperarm relationship. Alot of people make a harsh transition but it should really be quite subtle…
Not sure if this is exactly what you need, but go in the tool settings and you can change falloff type to either volume of surface. This is most useful for dealing with a non-contiguous mesh though. In your case, I think you want to adjust the edge but not get into the holes thhere? Are you aware of adjusting the falloff…
Hey! Thanks all It's been a relaxing day, didn't have to work. I just got back from dinner, this was a pleasant surprise! I think about the SanFran workshop all the time (I wear my band religiously :P) it was a great time, and hopefully next year I'll make it to GDC or E3 to meet up with a lot of you again! Paul, I took…
One thing I definitely won't buy into is the purchasing of manufactured and pre-packaged foods. Besides creating art for games, I greatly enjoy creating food from scratch and simple ingredients. Why spend $3 on a fancy bowl of dehydrated noodles when I can take the 15¢ pack of ramen noodles and fry it up, spice it to my…
I was checking out your motivation thread as well as this one, and if it's possible, I think you should try to find somewhere to take life drawing. Colleges with arts programs usually have this available, and often to the public as well for a fee. Other studio spaces offer it too. It's a good way to learn anatomy, but also…
I think that sterno-mastoid flowing up behind the ear will help out your side view quite a bit. Right now, it's running into his jaw-line like Rhino pointed out....making your jaw line appear to be a lot more hard edged then what it should be. Try softening that jaw line up a bit and I think it will give it a more natural…
Congrats. You can expect everything to change Being a Dad takes a while to adapt to and intially its more work than rewards, but though the rewards are not as often, they are far higher than any you will have experienced prior to being a parent. You may also find yourself reexperiencing or analyzing your own childhood and…
