took yesterdays speedie and did him in a different style Also started on a dragonkin kind of creature, i'l probably do a fair bit of sculpting on this. Recorded a timelapes of the blockout using the new zbrush record history thing, it rocks! It's about 25mins in real time cropped to 4mins video…
Ya definitely story, and location/setting? Where is this supposed to be. And I think its interesting that you chose not to include the front of the windmill which is admittedly the most interesting part in your shot... Maybe go back to the drawing board on this one, and work out a pleasing composition and shot /w…
I think it looks like a good start. Though i would keep all geometry as clean as possible. Right now you have allot of triangles in there. Even though this is your blockout (or not) it's always good to keep the topology to squares. You always reuse something, even though you didn't think you would from the start.
Blockout done (ready to be painted over as I can't draw 2D that well lol) and I'm currently reading some Gothic architecture books which are turning out to be good reads! (I shall no doubt post links for those who might be interested) Once I've taken notes and such, I shall probably be posting moodboards and concept art!
So I did a quick blockout of the Legs into the feet. I'll look into doing for a knee pad look just got to figure out how his joints will move hehe. So I went with the hybrid look. I added both the 1 piece look from the 2nd concept and used a defined big toe or fore foot on the front.
@slosh I'm trying to do the original proportions, but since I'm doing the Night Hunter Rengar, it looks more sleek than the original I suppose... And what is wrong with the animal like thingy ? please elaborate... By the way, I was trying to find that guy, thanks for sharing. Here's more of the blockout.. I'm doing it…
I mean if it's an alien isolation inspired environment, why don't you look at concept art for alien isolation: http://www.avpgalaxy.net/2014/10/08/new-alien-isolation-concept-released/ https://www.pinterest.com/pin/392516923750610214/ (looks cool) Anyway if you're doing a full environment wouldn't you normally start with a…
Thanks for the feedback. I had started modeling gun #2 as a high poly, but I just wasn't feeling it. Gun 2 was cool, but it's way too alien for what I'm aiming for with this gun. My gut feeling is to go with gun #1, so I'm sticking with that. Concept: Current blockout: More updates to come. Crits/comments are appreciated.…
Wow... been a long time since i've posted anything in here. I was working on a blockout making a mod set of rocks for a scene I wanted to start.. and I just couldnt stop sculpting lmao... So here is the revival of my Art Dump! /w a rock. lol A large one mind you! Sculpted and and rendered in Zbrush.
That's a nice bit of high poly work you have there. How big is it in relation to a person? As a pillar it seems a bit too short. Though I'm probably not thinking on a grand enough scale, it could be the banner that's throwing it off for me. And of course the size doesn't really matter, it's how you intend to use it ;) I…
