I fixed Matballz shader to get it work with directx11 and wrote maxscript for creating material library with matcaps. http://veda3d.com/creating-lit-sphere-material-in-3dsmax/
I updated my NVIDIA but the problem still there. On the side note I think 3dsMax is using NVIDIA as graphic card not intel (proof provides as an image below)

I don't really use Maya,- but is the UV functionality or workflow that bad in Maya? ( I mean 3dsmax isn't perfect either but at least it has all the basics)
I use a combination of quickslice and bridge. (3dsmax) In that order. Although it gets more complicated if the shape you want to put a hole into doesn't have a flat area on it.
