yeah, but smoothing groups take longer to set up and take longer to edit. I could also add the floating rollout to the Editable Poly but then It would just be harder to access. No it won't be free, it will cost more then a normal script, because it's a plugin but not that much more.
Thanks mate, thats what you mean. Wasnt quite sure. As for max 2017, if you re in the edit uv window, theres an icon allowing you to flatten by smoothing groups. Ill edit this post and post a screenshot once I am able to
just more convenient, you don't need uv unwrap modifier open.has its own little interface. EDIT actually version 1.0 works fine, though only on edit mesh unfortunately http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/game-tools
Er, I quickly edited your post there - you had your FTP login name and password as part of the URL, that's probably not a good idea... unless that was intentional? You can edit that post to fix it... I just didn't want anyone causing trouble...
My aim is to create solid objects that can emit light. To the effect of what's in this image with the colored balls. From that point I'll alter the setting for what I need. So Mental Ray is no longer a part of Max, and every tutorial I find uses methods I can't since I'm on 2018. I've tried fiddling with the render, and…
Hello people I am working on this asset and getting these weird normals on my asset. I have tried Flip Normals in polygon mode, tried Normal modifier, tried Reset Xform, then converting to editable mesh then editable poly. But still the same. Some parts of the asset got fixed some are still stubborn. What am I missing…
I just want to say, that is one of the most beautiful paintover/edits i have ever seen :o I totally agree, the materials and stuff is nice, and with that edit.. or a similair one to your tastes you have a tasty model :D
Oh God, yours is miles ahead of the other model. [EDIT:] If you ask me. {Another Edit:] And I definitely don't see anything "Unsalvageable" about it. At least not immediately obvious. I mean, this is 3D; most things are pretty salvageable.
Eh, the username has nothing to do with the work. =) But yeah, give me just some time to take the screenshots and I'll edit the first post to add them. Edit : Sorry, took some time, I couldn't get to upload the images.
You can edit the second output to have a black and white mask, like a contrasted histogram scan could work. and if you'd like to you can edit your tile sampler to do it all the time and offer you a second output
