I easily improved the tiling buy quickly darkening the middle of the lighter "squares" that you see you your texture, there's still some "stripes" going through it you can fix by lighting/darkening areas. The secret to hiding tiling is making it as consistent as possible.
Good so far. My biggest crit would be to watch the big guys weight more. He pops out of the ground fairly quickly and also hammers the little guy with his fist much too fast. The ending you have good weight.
I'd agree about the gaming break being distracting, especially with games like Mass Effect, Skyrim, etc. If you're gonna have a gaming break I'd say do it with games you can jump into quickly... xbox live arcade stuff for example.
Cool - been meaning to try this for a while, now there's no excuse anymore :) Is there any non-video tutorial and/or documentation anywhere ? I find that the more technical something is, the better it works in text as opposed to video. Especially when it comes to quickly jumping to a certain piece of information.
Thanks again! @Jessica: I will work yet on textures. So far I had to finish it quickly, because I wanted to send it with my job application (cross your fingers! :) ). @ParoXum: thanks! @Tits: yeah, there are few shots below It's not a finish yet. :)
I'd probably also go with spline IK if this is going to be baked to a joint system. Is it important to retain the volume or is this magically überstretchy? Will is shoot out quickly against a target or move slowly? Move more straight or wiggly? Fill us in on how you intend to animate this.
The art is cool, I like original eye color without "black" in the eyes but that fiery oj, good work on the animation cute stuff should go through quickly. If you didn't want critic you can obviously ignore whatever i said.
Not true. I've been using it since its early days in 701 and is a fantastic tool for prototyping hard surface shapes and details quickly. Tor Frick also combines it with the rounded edge shader to get normal maps to low poly geometry really fast.
I have to say that this went from "meh" to really ridiculously good looking very quickly. I love the color choices, the models look really sharp, and overall it looks like a place Nathan Drake wouldn't mind getting himself almost-dead.
As most will say the first page should be your gallery, people like to get there quickly. Of all the free portfolio sites, I think I prefer carbonmade over DA... But content is good, some really nice sculpted folds on that jumpsuit, really like it ^^
