Handpainting normal directions like that takes no longer than regular painting - all you do is paint in light direction, there's nothing crazy about it ! Of course quickly sculpting the rocks would have worked too. Knowing how to do both is very valuable.
Wasn't able to get it working normally also but even when works it produces so ugly complicated mess of layers in Photoshop I just haven't enough patience to find a thing to adjust something easily and quickly . But it rather Photoshop problem than Quixel.
I think quality should come before focusing on speed. It really doesn't matter how quickly a person can arrive at crappy results if that's all a person can achieve? Once someone learns how to make quality they can focus on making it faster.
right now we work on 7 games, all run through me at one point so i have tons of instances of max open, tons of files in PS, zbrush, often times running engines etc. that adds up quickly :D
My dad was bald by the time he was 21, and both my grandpa's were bald at an early age too. I'm 25 and still have all my hair, but it's quickly turning grey. I guess you either lose the hair or lose the color.
Looking great, but 2 x 2k + 1 x 4k is pretty much an overkill (probably not just in my opinion). You would run out from video memory very quickly if you would use resolutions like these on all of the assets in an environment.
Looks like you have a lot of potential, I really like the Knight. Keep it up and I'm sure you'll improve a lot very quickly. Can't really critisise since I'm terrible at digital painting; looking to start getting into it a bit though.
The back of the mech definitely has more depth in the concept than you allowed in your original model. Liek the torso is a hood over the internal components towards the bottom of the torso. This makes me wonder if there's not a way to quickly model out the fixes and get it refinalied.
There is zero grind, the only reason (like me) you would want to grind is because you tend to bum rush certain parts of the game and die quickly, but if you take your time, especially with the Barbarian class, you shouldn't have any issues.
I haven't posted anything in here for a while, so here is what I am up to at the moment. Some Sci-Fi character. Started as a quick sculpt in Zbrush but quickly decided to move on to something more refine. I a m currently working on the retopo
