Thanks nordahl154! I cut down the texture to 1024 and it seems to hold up nice,I always seem to make textures too big:\ also here is a better wireframe Which edges were you referring to? was it the area with the indent near the butt stock?
Its for a game, most likely, even if i never end up using it. I am gonna do a HP but i want the LP to look good and opitmized, incase anything happens. I posted the wireframe, please look at them if u wish.
The words "AO render" and "Professional" when referring to showing off a wireframe / clay render don't generally belong in the same sentence. It's almost as professional as throwing down some uber-1337 lens flare. Unless of course, you know what you are doing.
Having ads and social networking buttons all over your site is ugly and unprofessional, get rid of that stuff. Like DWalker says, the lack of texturing on most of your pieces is obvious. I'd also like to see more wireframe renders and polygon counts.
Jonathan: clone your model then add a slight push modifier to the clone and give it a wireframe material. Shadow: nice tank - I agree with EQ, I think the noise is a bit too uniform over the entire tank. Still looks very nice though.
This is awesome man, i really dig the style. Do you think you could post a bit higher res image of the wireframe shot? I'm interested in seeing how you put the roots together but i'm having a bit of trouble seeing it well.
Um... Why don't you select it and find out? :) I think we need a little more information before we can give an answer. What's the name of the node? A screenshot may help too. For me the nodes are the same color as the objects wireframe.
Yes. it does mean that. On the other hand, I don't see why they wouldn't consent. Heck after they see what modeled innards look like they might decide they want to use the higher-poly one as well. Can you show wireframes of the flash?
Under the display tab you can change it to show shaded and wireframe as either material or object color - the object colors don't go away when you apply a material. By default it does shaded as material color. I have a script that toggles it for me :)
Got the low-poly done, it's about 16k tris right now. Here are some screenshots of the normal/ao bake and wireframes taken in marmoset toolbag. I still need to do some tweaking and cleanup but for a first pass I'm fairly happy with the bake.
