Stromberg - err...lol. I will add that to my to do list! :) Phillip - you crazy man! Make no sense at all!! jk. Actually that is a fresh way to put it. Hmm..gives me other ideas. Thanx! whats_true - well, your gonna laugh at me for saying this, but for this one. I got lazy and just used a sky light and turned on light…
sure after work tomorrow i'll put up some wires and textures. Ogle: ya he's smirking on purpose, and his eys are altered to look up, i thought it would be a cool pic so i did it. its currently my aim icon. sectaurs: thx for the input. Actually I came up with the character a few years ago around the time of warcraft 3. He…
Welcome Pior! ...just another quick update to add. Andrew included a turntable render feature in the latest build so I did a couple quick renders on some sketches I've done with voxels lately. Mostly just quick stuff, though I've been going back over the swamp troll to see if I can refine it further. The CUDA support will…
Because you didnt offer any counter point. All you said was something along the lines of "I dont believe you, you are full of "fud"". Feel free to re-establish your counter argument without all the immature condescending comments. If you can manage to do that in a mature manner, I will address whatever points you think you…
Thanks Kosh3d ! Yes you're right. Maybe I should just polish the texturing and just add a little bit more uniqueness in wear and tear. I think the flatness feeling I get is more related to the quite basic geometry I have and a slight lack of primary shapes.
okay so what i did here is just follow some of what u created. you bordered the armor in certian places where they connect or end. the collar there for example. the bordure is part of the ornaments. and can be applied on the whole skin for consistency. i suggest to do so. copy elements if u dont come up with them…
Sorry for the super late answer, even tho you have probably already found an answer, I'll share my 2 cents =P The current project did have a stone kit planned in the first post but I've then proceeded to use a trim-based solution like this (1 pic.) and I've mapped it to Arches and other similar details, to add more…
A lot of environment work is the last 20%, the polish stuff. It seems like you're lacking that. Few quick comments: -It's really dark. I can't see much of the ground or walls. -The values are sort of all blending together. One thing I would say is try this: http://blog.environmentartist.com/?p=1127 I did an extreme example…
So I didn't manage to get hold of Painter, but I did manage to get my hands on Quixel Suite in the Black Friday sale. I'm in love. It gives super quality results and it's super easy to use. It isn't without its flaws, but it was very well-suited for what I needed for this project. Oh my days, it did take me a very long…
I've been doing some doodling and testing in Designer for the last three days, just to get back into it. Nothing I'm doing this early in the project is "finished" - I'm just trying to establish a structure. Today I started on the "Rock Sample" node - It's a tool that I made so that I can spread out pebbles and rocks over a…
