Why does it have hydraulic pistons? in those locations? I can't really see how they would work. Now if the piston went from the upper leg to the lower one then it would pull the lower half closer causing it to "flex" properly. However if it's got that oversized flex wheel for the joint it should have all the systems… -

The missile defense will weaken the onslaught but unless your enemy fires only 2-3 missiles instead of unloading his entire arsenal and perhaps adding a few dummies to distract the system enough will get through to nuke the entire country 4-5 times over. From what little I know about them they're expensive and even the best ones only last a couple of hours. Besides, as far as I know they will only kick in when your residential power drops out and your problem is in your system, so I don't think that'd help at all.
