This is just something you need to work around really. There's plenty of ways to quickly fix the problem, but no automatic way to do this (that I know of). You're probably better of using edge extrusions in such a case rather than polygonal and cleaning up anyway.
Really awesome progress so far Damian, you are quickly becoming one of my favourite artists on polycount. I'm looking forward to digging deep into this thread as your progression continues, should be a lot of nice tips and tricks to come from this :)
Finished texturing for the TIE fighter. Current lighting is just quickly thrown together right now and kinda sucks, planning to do some proper presentation shots next. Also thinking about modeling a small hangar to give it some background.
If an employer is looking at your CV there's a chance they will skim it quickly. You need to make sure it's as impactul as possible. One page for sure. Bullet point things. Make everything concise and to the point. Trim the extras from your CV as often as possible.
Pfff finally recovered from the Global game jam. That was heavy but fun. Anyway didn't like to proportions on the mech. it was way to slim. so i fattened a bit what do you think. thanks @ Add3r: thanks, hope to finish it quickly.
Toning down some of the damage and rust for now and started working on the drivers side too. Still got to finish off the pipes and gear on the side of the engine body. But hey, it's coming together pretty quickly. I love Substance Painter =P
+1 Larmont don't forget to add collider to your bullet for that snipet to work.. If your bullets move too quickly it could be worth to expand shooting script with raycasting to actualy get impact point in advance and calculate timed destruction in advance..
So I thought the last lipsync had to go unfortunately, so I quickly made a new one which I feel fits a lot better: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WoEdgRuuW6c Reel as it stands: https://vimeo.com/193279188
you're overthinking it make this duplicate it with array (instance array) done. Also to quickly get the edge loops for subd, you can duplicate or edit the cylinder you use to boolean the hole and scale it up slightly, then use it as a solid drill : stencil
Sorry, I barely made it through the first chapter of "War of Art", I'm a fairly pragmatic person and the spirituality of that book made my eyes glaze over fairly quickly. I've read Stephen King's "On Writing" multiple times though.
