That mech looks really cool! Would be nice if you put in a couple of values to differentiate parts to improve readability. Very nice and balanced rendering of that cyborg sniper, not too tight and not too loose. The way you handled the rim light from the sun really adds to the photo-realism of the piece.
Really nice, man. I'm curious to how you're gonna deal with the eyes since the sculpt's eyes are closed. Won't that add more work for you later on since it might affect the wholeness? As for your question; Since cyborgs originally have human brains then yes, they do have gender ;)
Apart from all the technical stuff, a trick is to add human made stuff, or humans or animals so that viewers can easily recognize its scale and thus, the scale of the main subject you're making This is what I've been working on. cyborg/robotic insects for video game spy bugs
Hello Rukasu, You have a nice portfolio! i like it if you have interest, I can offer you to make models of robots, mech, cyborgs by art, and other sci-fi things in the small game about space adventures (UE) Just send me PM for details
Hey Polycount! I'll be using this space to chronicle my progress on this project over the next few weeks. The end goal is to have a UE4-ready character along the vein of Overwatch or Destiny. My initial design idea is a character who utilizes a whip as a way to initiate combat along with a shield that retracts from an arm…
Nice models on there Struve, and I agree with above comments. I remember you posting the cyborg chick you have in your junk section here on polycount quite a while ago, just wondering whose concept you based it on, because from what I recall, it wasn't your own
I sat and held his hand for three hours at the dealership. I probably drank twenty cups of water while talking to Bob the dealer about F-1 racing. All in all, seems like sweet little robot. If you swallow the key, you become some sort of cyborg.
Started working on the final model for "The Divine" faction; Archangel This is the block out stage. I'm thinking something a little gundam-ish with feminine cyborg/UI over tones. Here is the base model I put together to help with shapes and feel. More to come... Next up, hard surface pieces.
so for characters you are not supposed to redesign the way the character looks? eg go more photoreal with the sculpt or make them old and wise or a cyborg version etc. it is really just recreating a base character thats already been designed...and then adding an outfit of your own design to that? thats the creative bit?
