Ah well, BFF was worth a try. With FBX, did you make sure both versions of Max have the save exact version of the FBX exporter/importer? If they don't, you're in for a world of hurt. -

Arf, fair enough. I think I wrote a script a while back that sets the model to be smoothed with a vertex normal map, I'll have a play later tonight and see if that helps things. -

Texas explosion had the same response teams from ATF and other agencies as the Oklahoma City bombing. Media coverage does not equal the level of response. -

so i decided I was gonna res up the wolfen model i did a texture for in my portfolio... here's my results thus far. just faffing about in muddy boxes for about 45 or so from a low res mesh.
