It could be that you had Unwrap set to channel 3, then pressed "save settings as default" in the edit window menu? http://download.autodesk.com/us/3dsmax/2012help/files/GUID-A7CC32F5-40BE-4DE5-A364-05E7986D4BA-514.htm There's an INI that saves these settings, the file unwrapuvw.ini in the plugcfg directory. Try deleting it.

this looks really good man. I love cutlines and the barrel was done nicely. I do think the bevel of "454 Casull, RAGING BULL" is a bit strong. If it is a displacement map I would lower the intensity a little bit and blur it so it looks a little bit softer. Just subtly so it is not so hard.
hey aj your car looks like a chager but cartoony I would suggest NOT having soft round edges be that ThiCk, cars edges are sheet metal that has been bent not metal that hast been forged, its not cast iron digging the scoop, but looks a bit big, what you have in there a 454, superchaged?
