Nice progress. For some reason the reflection didn't capture the orange hose on the floor. This makes it look like the hose is floating. It seems to be properly reflecting everything else, not sure why it would leave the hose out. -

quality over quantity is always something to keep in mind. work on your AO, some of your props in the foreground look like they floating above the table. i'd stick with the higher angle as well. looking better! -

Not being able to use floating geometry is a big concern. That's a ton of extra time needed to cut shapes in, make sure they smooth properly and such. If it's really quality stuff I'm sure that's the direction we'll all be heading. =\ -

Should be possible, I dont know Max very well but it sounds simple enough. You could also use a Lattice(maya)/FFD(c4d) to curve your floating geometry to match the curved surface. -

It looks like there is a line that runs down the middle of the rail that could be removed. There is also some kind of ring on the front which I'm assuming is for the strap. That could probably made floating instead of merged with the main body. -

@sacboi That's what I like to hear :D Couldn't of done it without your help so thank you for that :) Totally agree with the tyres, doesn't show the weight of the car as it looks like it's floating. I'll be fixing that :) -

That's a very nice backdrop. And the lighting is much moodier as well. Some clues or markers to sell the scale of the landscape (floating ships in the distance, other outpost lights far off in the horizon, etc) could help sell it. -
