Thank you for these tips! I just started using Marmoset and I'm just about ready to finish a new piece with it. I can get early flight into Marmoset pretty quickly. Here's the concept I used for the common drake:
Looking good! I think you've lost a bit of the roundness that is in the concept. Are you planning on doing some FX? Fog and maybe even a vector field sucking into the cone would be dope and very quickly achievable. Good work!
Not to mention Sculptris also has the Reduce Selected option to quickly lower the tri count starting with the more dense areas of the mesh, so it's great if you have too many tris during the basic blocking out steps of sculpting.
The muscle definition is looking really good. The facial structure is also nice. The anatomy seems a bit off in the arms and legs though. Are they a little small for his torso? They seem to taper off too quickly. What are you using for reference?
Quickly moved some of the panels around. I'm not sure if I'm feeling it any more than I was before. I rotated the second panel on the right just to see how they would work back and forth. Not sure if it's any better...
Also, another reason I use Paint, is it's fast to create references or make simple edits. For example, here's a tank I want to draw. I can quickly create proportions and perspective guides using the line tool in Paint.
Thank you. This is an on and off project for me, but I am intrested in that halo idea. And yeah, I know I could use photosharing sites, but I just wanting to upload the WIP quickly. I was tired. Can't blame me.
Kinda a shame they've abandoning the Wii U so quickly. It's my personal favourite console this generation, also has the most critically acclaimed games. Still highly anticipating Zelda. Interested to see what's in store with this new console.
Thanks LateWhiteRabbit, that's sound advice. I have gone up a little too quickly I will admit, total points is around 300k right now. I'll work at lower levels with some reference and update soon I hope.
@Beard3D Bandit Thanks man! Yea I love Designer b/c you can make changes so quickly and easily, iteration time is insanely fast. Not so true with sculpting though! But both methods are insanely powerful :)
