Hot Damn. . . . . thanks for images guys, all of those absolutely going into my references folder. . . I'm just hoping that our IT guys doesn't find out who's using most bandwith today :p
Delete your prefrences in My Documents. I am at work at the moment but I had a similar issue not too long a go. There is a file in your My Documents in the Maya folder. Just delete it. Restart and it will work.
metalliandy, deleted everything in that folder, booted up Knald beta, turned off diffuse, clicked the down arrow above it to save settings, restarted the program, diffuse turned back on so still broken for me.
Lookin good man, I have a whole folder of refs I took of mine if you want it (and if i have internet tonight) I am excited to see this finished since I love the mosin.
You dont need to export your photoshop files at all in unity. Just put your psd's in the Assets folder, and dont use transparency, create an 4th channel in photoshop which will be used as the alpha channel.
Have you been overwriting the original file? Try renaming it if you haven't, and perhaps clean out the custom folder to see if that does anything different for you. Beyond this, could I see a video of this happening?
Quixel v1.7.3 PS CS6 Input files are 4k, folder with Quixel output maps weighs 1.4gigs (i don't know how to answer this question??) Intel i7 3.4 gh, 16 gigs ram
It kinda makes sense. Instead of having to make the folder needed in Photoshop like the tutorial you gave me, wouldn't it be easier to go into the Hypershade > Edit > Create PSD Network and let Maya create it for you?
It seems like i fixed it. For some reason the Quixel directory in the AppData\Roaming path became hidden. Un-hiding that folder in properties made quixel boot up. It seems to run fine so far.
You should be able to create a shortcut for the engine .exe file that should be in the 64bit binary folder where you installed the engine. I think it's UnrealEngine\Engine\Binaries but I'll have to check later at home.
