I tried using an image plane for reference, but in the end I hid it and tried working off what I had. It's really my first decent head (My last two were just terrible), but yea, there's still something off about the anatomy but I'm having issues finding the problem.
The white scratching/paint worn off is a bit too thick and consistent and uniform around that edge. There should be a couple spots where the paint isn't completely worn off and it connects through to both sides. Gas pumps don't get thrown around so there's no reason for the edge to be scratched up that badly.
you would be unlikely to get a hd tv with a good rez @ 20" or so. you would be better off with a Dell or Apple monitor, which can give you a very good rez and be used to run tv off your pc 720 is fine for reading the internet. Ass for anything else.
I wasn't being sarcastic when I said the script you wrote helped me. Sorry if it came off as sarcasm. After I read it a few times a light bulb went off in my head and helped me find some things in the sdk guides. Later man. Alex
If you just press Z without shift, it'll turn the controller on and off. To get around another problem you're probably about to have, if you find a bunch of your brushes aren't working properly while you've got the image displayed, go to Brush->Samples and turn off spotlight projection.
the best thing you can do performance-wise if you have 12 gigs of ram is to turn off your pagefile completely, an SSD is also a great upgrade, i don't know if i need it, but i can write it off on my taxes, so i don't really give a shit.
Wow that opera house looks great! Is it based off of a real place? I remember seeing some concept art for Resident Evil Zero of a theater that never made it into the game, but couldn't google it so I was wondering if you maybe based it off that. *looks at own avatar* mmm nope, no bias, not at all >_> <_<
You cant even see the windows in the new render? Also there are flaws, but why are you trying to make it seem like its totally off? It seems to be a bit narrow, but thats judging off this picture and the seating is folded up. Like to see other angles.…
As above, also you may be better off down-scaling a larger map than anti-aliasing one. Trust me, 1000+ samples takes donkeys years to render... Could turn off back-face rays or whatever it's called, although you probably won't notice much of a speed difference.
Looking at the cloth on the roof again, I think you should pull it up some more so it doesn't look like it's sliding off with a freeze frame. You can still have it draped and hanging off a bit, but if you pull it up some more it should look more static and stable.
