Yeah it's under preferences> interface> turn off open documents as tabs and turn off floating document window docking then it is just like cs3 and you can tell what you're doing with multiple images open.
Think of averaged normals as an averaged projection cage. The averaged projection cage fails bad at floating surface details and other large normal map details. Look at the video in my signature to see where it's strengths and weaknesses are.
Coll stuff man :) I do believe that the stone rock wall needs more of a dirt base, so that the stones looks like they'r in the dirt. Right now most of them looks like they'r floating.
Work in Progress 2: Not sure how I'm going to do the claws. Part of me wants to do something similar to the concept, but I also want to have some floating claws being tethered by a lightning current.
You should make a solid render in that format, would look good. I am with HP, its a bit imcomplete atm. You should add floating rocks of some sort, something to fill it in a bit more.
Making progress on the foliage. Trying to figure out how to improve the shading. I already projected normals on the floating geo from the shape underneath them. Tangent space normals enabled. Tangent space normals disabled.
make a float value call it SuppressCyan (or whatever you want!) // suppress the blue and green components blendedDiffuse.g = min(blendedDiffuse.r + SuppressCyan, blendedDiffuse.g); blendedDiffuse.b = min(blendedDiffuse.r + SuppressCyan, blendedDiffuse.b); lower the value, the more cyan is suppressed.
no they don't appear to have defined muscles in their tails, only at the base Mouse muscle ref ala google and covering the crotch isn't really necessary. Mice don't have free floating genitalia like humans anyway.
pay all your bills on time, if you have extra cash floating about pay them in advance. don't get a credit card, don't borrow money. theres my two main fuckups right there
Looks good...watch for the floating geometry near the bottom, and don't forget the black holes along the side...it would definitely help break up some of the repetitiveness. Nice piece though...making background assets are fun
