There's always going to be some distortion. There's always going to be a slight variance in pixel density. You could turn all those circles into strips if you wanted. Then scale them to match densities. It's all about optimizing, not finding the perfect solution. The front face of your cylinder will always be distorted… -

I snap the pivot of the cube to one of the corners, making sure that it's in one of the outermost verticles. I duplicate the cube and snap the copy to the matching opposite corner. I think the first one looks more interesting than the second. Dead ferns, usually -some- of the leaves are dead, some are still alive. And sometimes some part of a single fern leaf dies and the rest of it are still alive. I see you have a fern that's completely brown/dead. but it adds a lot of realism if you mix the two…
